In the last 24 hours Nine more persons succumbed to swine flu in different parts of Rajasthan, taking the toll due to the H1N1 virus in the state to 234 this year, an official of Medical and Health Directorate (MHD) said on Wednesday.
Of these nine deaths, three succumbed to H1N1 in Jaipur followed by Ajmer, Churu, Dausa, Jodhpur, Barmer and Baran, an official said.
Jaipur has reported the maximum number of deaths with the toll rising to 45 followed by Ajmer and Jodhpur 28 each, Nagaur 22, Barmer 19, Kota 11, Pali 9, Sikar and Chittorgarh 7 each, Banswara 6, Churu, Dausa, Jhunjhunu and Tonk 5 each, Bhilwara, Bikaner, and Udaipur 4 each.
Out of the total 4,884 patients who were tested positive for the HINI virus, 234 have died since January 1 this year, the official said.
