Swine Flu: 24 dies, toll climbs to 343 in Rajasthan

In the last 48 hours Twenty-Two more persons succumbed to swine flu in different parts of Rajasthan, taking the toll due to the H1N1 virus in the state to 343 this year, an official of Medical and Health Directorate (MHD) said on Monday.

Rajasthan has so far recorded maximum number of deaths due to swine flu. Out of 6,030 patients tested positive for the virus, 343 people have died so far due to the dreaded disease in parts of the state this year, the official of the State Medical and Health Directorate said.

Jaipur recorded maximum 61 deaths followed by Ajmer 37, Jodhpur 33, Nagaur 29, Barmer 23, Kota 17, Chittorgarh 13, Sikar and Pali 11 each, Udaipur 10, Tonk 8, Bhilwara, Jhunjhunu and Churu 7 each, Bikaner and Dausa 6 each, Bharatpur and Rajsamand 5 each and one to four at many other places in the state.
