On Sunday Rajasthan Congress criticized the Vasundhadra Raje government’s move to allow power companies to charge fuel surcharge on power bills from retrospective effect saying it will put additional tax burden on the consumers.
Sachin Pilot ‘PCC President’ said “It is a deciet with consumers that power companies would charge last year’s fuel surcharge in two installments, from January to June and July to December, which would be included in the next bills of consumers from March 2015,”
He also claimed that due to fiscal mismanagement of Raje government, the state power companies were also planning to raise power tariff by 20 to 40 per cent in near future.
The BJP government had recently stopped giving Rs 25 subsidy of LPG cylinder to customers, he added. “Public is seriously afflicted with inflation and price rise in Rajasthan,” he said, adding the BJP government had skipped its manifesto to bring the prices down.
