Rajasthan Health Minister AA Khan has directed officials to conduct field surveys for tracking suspected swine flu patients.
In a review meeting yesterday, he asked officials to conduct surveys in the areas where swine flu cases have been detected, an official said today.
Rapid response teams are already screening patients in the field, but the minister wanted officials to also monitor those who may have come in contact with H1N1 positive patients during the past two-three weeks.
The minister was informed about the arrangements made in government hospitals to cure patients detected with the flu.
123 people suffering from swine flu have died in the state since April 1, 2012. During this period, 681 out of a total of 2,534 samples tested positive, the official added.
