Over 6,000 polling booths in Rajasthan have been declared sensitive and extra force would be deployed there during the Assembly elections in the state on December one.

The highly sensitive constituencies fall in the eastern parts of the state, especially Dausa, Karauli, Dholpur and Bharatpur, Chief Election Officer Ashok Jain told a press conference here.

At the highly sensitive booths, EC would be doing videography and live web casting to monitor the process of polling, he said.

Gearing itself up for the polls, the State Election Office will send “voter’s identity slips” to electors to facilitate them cast their ballot.

Besides the slips, Election Office is waiting for the provision of “none of the above” (right to reject) in EVMs, Jain said.

Over 4.07 crore voters would exercise their franchise at 45,334 booths in 200 Assembly constituencies, he said.

Of them, about 15.5 lakh were youth voters in the age of 18-19, he added.
