Two bodies were found floating in Anasagar lake and one of them has been identified as Chandra Parkesh of Naka Madar. Police are trying to identify the second body and registered both the cases initially as suicides.
According to police, they found a body floating in the lake on Tuesday night but could not identify it as the there was nothing in the pockets of the deceased. “Today morning, family members of Chander Parkesh, who was reported missing, identified him. We initially stated the reason of death as suicide,” police said.
Police recovered another floating body on Wednesday morning. “We are waiting for someone to come forward to claim the body and we have informed all police stations,” police said. The Ram Prasad Ghat of this has been known as suicide point and on an average two suicides were recorded every month from this place.
