Three students – S Aatresh (3rd), Rajan Maheswari (4th) and Vijay Bansal (8th) – have secured positions in first top 10, which is probably the highest in the country from one city. This result is matching the levels of Kota which has a kings share of toppers in IIT’s in top 50 and 100.
Jaipur city has improved its tally from two students last year to nine this year in the top 50 positions, indicating the popularity of this profession. “It’s an amazing feeling to see your dreams turning into reality. I have been living with this dream every second since the past three years,” said S Aatresh, who has always been meritorious student and never scored below distinction marks in accounts.
Girls are also making a mark in the profession otherwise preferred by boys. Deeksha Rajesh Sahara, a native of Jaipur who has completed BCom from Maharani’s College, has bagged 28 All India Rank in CA. “My father was surprised to hear that I wanted to prepare for CA after class X as he always wanted me to become an engineer,” said Sahara, adding, “But today, he is the happiest person on my success.” She is first in the family to get into accounting profession. Monika Agarwal of Jaipur also bagged the 48{+t}{+h} position.
“Our success rate is 12.57% against the national average of 10.03%. The grand success will draw more students to this profession which will only improve the city’s result,” said Pramod Kumar, chairman of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAI), Jaipur.
