Stuti Chauhan of Jodhpur secured 3rd place in UPSC exam

Stuti Charan of Jodhpur cleared the Civil Services examination, by securing third rank. The results of the examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) were declared on Friday. Charan topped the civil services examination (2012) in the state scoring an All India 3rd rank. Bachelor of Science from Jodhpur University and Post Graduate Diploma holder in Personnel and Marketing Management from the Indian Institute of Planning and Management (IIPM) Delhi, Stuti cleared the examination in her third attempt.

“My aim has always been to become an IAS officer. And after a lot of hard work, I proved myself and passed the examination with good rank. I cleared the examination in my third attempt and now I want to serve the country,” said a visibly happy Charan while speaking to DNA.

Five aspirants from the state were able to make it to the merit list. Mayur Dixit of Chittorgarh district scored 11th rank in the examination. Mayur’s father is a joint-director in the animal husbandry department and his mother is a principal in a government school. Manish Kumar from Ganganagar district cleared the examination by securing 40th rank. Jafar Malik of Sawai Madhopur district scored 97th rank. Speaking to DNA Malik said, “My family and I am very happy with the results and this is my second attempt. However, I think I would have scored a much better rank”

Nishant Kumar Yadav from Alwar district passed the examination in the first attempt and secured 102nd rank in the merit list. A pass out from a government school, Yadav was selected in IIT in 2006.

Similarly, Punit Bijariya of Kuchaman City also cleared the examination in his first attempt. Deepak Kumar Meena of Dausa district too was declared successful in the results declared on Friday.
