The SPIC MACAY, in collaboration with Jaipur National University, is hosting a four-day musical festival starting from July 26 at the latter’s campus in Jagatpura.
Rajeev Tatiwala of SPIC MACAY, Jaipur chapter said that artists of national and international repute would give live performances to educate students on Indian classical music and dance.
Pt Hari Prasad Chourasia, Parveen Sultana, Ragini Chandershekar, Madan Gopal Singh, Madhavi Mudgal, Ashwini Bhide Deshpande, Dr. Kamala Shankar and Jayateerth Mevundi are among those who have confirmed their performances.
Chancellor of the Jaipur National University, Sandeep Bakshi said the artists will also interact with the students and introduce them to the heritage art.
The organizers are expecting 1,000 students to participate in the event. Bringing the students close to the natural environment, they will also hold yoga classes and tree plantation and attribute their might for healthier environment.
