South West Monsoon has weakened over Rajasthan as sporadic rainfall occurred only in northern region in the state with Todaraisingh recording the maximum rainfall of 7 cm in the last 24 hours, a MeT official said .
Monsoon was active in northern region of the state covering Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Churu districts as low to moderate rains occurred there, B N Vishnoi, director of state Weather department told PTI here.
The western districts of Jaisalmer, Barmer and Jodhpur were still dry with scant rains or drizzle since early this month, he said adding as the monsoon gets weaker the sky will be clear with bright sunny days ahead this week.
From 8:30 am to 5:30 pm today, Churu recorded rainfall of 8.2 mm followed by Pilani 2.9 mm, and Jaipur 0.7 mm rainfall.
In the last 24 hours, Chaksu recorded a rainfall of 5 cm followed by 4 cm rains each in Merta City, Degana and Sojat, 3 cm rains each in Gegal and Rajsamand and one to two cm at some more places in the state
