Sonam Kapoor, previously acted on blockbuster movies like ‘Raanjhana’ now a days busy these days. After completion of movie ‘Bewakoofian’ in Mumbai, Sonam now moving to Bikaner for her next movie ‘Khoobsurat’. After being selected for remake of 1980 hit ‘Khoobsurat’ earlier this year, Sonam tweeted “Last day in mumbai! Heading to bikaner Tom to start Khoobsurat.”
An official remake of 1980 classic comedy ‘Khoobsurat’, movie is being produced by Sonam Kapoor’s sister Rhea, and will be directed by Shashanka Ghosh of ‘Quick Gun Murugan’ fame. Most of the movie will be shot in Rajasthan.
‘Khoobsurat’ movie was known for Rekha’s character of a vivaciousness and fun-loving girl, will be remade by Sonam’s actor father Anil Kapoor and directed by Shashanka Ghosh.
The original ‘Khoobsurat’ had a huge starcast including Rakesh Roshan, Rekha, Ashok Kumar, Keshto Mukherjee and Dina Pathak. The film was originally directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee, written by Shanu Banerjee and dialogues by Gulzar.
Ratna Pathak Shah and Prosenjit are going to reprise the roles of Dina Pathak and Ashok Kumar respectively.
