The Olympic gold medal winner from Rajasthan Shooter Apurvi Chandela has been choosen as brand ambassador for the Election Commission’s electoral awareness programme in Rajasthan.
Rajasthan Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Govind Sharma said Apurvi’s name has been cleared the Election Commission.
She will campaign for spreading public awareness about importance of voting and for ensuring cent per cent polling in the September 13 by-elections to four seats in the state.
Rajasthan’s four Assembly constituencies — Kota-South, Weir, Nasirabad and Surajgarh — go to poll on September 13, the CEO said.
