The Sandesh Yatra of Congress reached Dungarpur on Monday where a mass rally was addressed by chief minister Ashok Gehlot and PCC chief Chandrabhan. Stressing on the welfare schemes initiated by the state government, the leaders urged the tribal-dominated region to vote for Congress.
“We have left no stone unturned in the implementation of our manifesto. We will again come up with series of schemes that is best suited for the general public. Our focus will be on farmers, dalits and youth,” said Chandrabhan. With this rally, Congress kicked off its campaign in Mewar region.
Gehlot in his address described his government as ‘sensitive’ and ‘transparent’. Recalling the steps taken to provide relief for public, Gehlot said: “We brought the Right to Hearing Act which will strengthen the Lok Sewa Guarantee Act in the state. We have introduced a bill to seize the property of corrupt public servants and open schools and colleges in their place.”
