The ill-preparedness of Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) and the haste in which results of Class X board were declared, have proved to be roadblocks for students seeking admission in the next class.
The board is yet to deliver original mark-sheets of lakh of students due to which neither any student is able to get transfer certificate from the pass-out school nor being able to seek admission in any other school.
However, some of the students had got provisional certificate, but here too, student and their guardians had to run pillar to post for procuring their original documents. Notably, the state board declared class X results on June 6 in which more than 11 lakh students appeared. Admission process in government schools will conclude on July 15, however, many will opt for private schools, which eventually will decrease enrolment in government schools.
“Many government schools have been promoted from Upper Primary School (UPS) or Secondary to Higher Secondary but as students are yet to get documents, they are not able to get admission. They are, however, are getting provisional admissions. But, they are facing trouble,” said Shashi Bhushan Sharma, additional general secretary, All Rajasthan Primary and Secondary Teachers’ Association.
