After coinciding dates of RTET exam 2013 with NET and SSB exam dates, RBSE decide to postponed RTET exam for indefinite period. The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) postponed the Rajasthan Teachers Examination Test (RTET) indefinitely on Tuesday. The exam was scheduled for December 29. The move came after a series of representations highlighted that RTET exam was coinciding with national level exams like NET and SSB exam.
Also, hundreds of RTET aspirants were to appear for either NET or SSB which was the prime reason for postponement. Over 5 lakh aspirants have enrolled to appear in the exam from across the state. It requires thousands of centres to accommodate all students. “Many centres have been taken away by NET and SSB exam and most of the schools and colleges will be closed during that period,” said an RBSE official.
Sources said RBSE was aware that the RTET date was clashing with other exams and the decision was taken to seek new government view on RTET. This exam has faced the ire of designated chief minister Vasundhara Raje. During several election rallies, she has criticized the exam pattern and advocated changes.
RBSE also clarified saying that a new date has not been announced as they are unable to find an empty Sunday to conduct this exam. It is likely that the exam may be conducted after board exams or after May.
