Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje announced the new scheme for women under which the bank accounts in the name of women of 1.5 crore families will be opened and aid and benefits directly transferred to their accounts.
Addressing the state level Independence Day function at Maharana Bhupal stadium here, Raje said that the “Bhamashah scheme” will empower women and bring a positive change in their lives.
She said that the government has made a provision of Rs 600 crore this year, adding that bank accounts in the name of women of 1.5 crore families will be opened and monetary benefits of schemes will be transferred.
She also said that the government would soon introduce investment promotion policy to attract large investments in the state in the coming years and a policy to encourage solar energy production with an aim to generate 25,000MW solar power in five years.
