Rajasthan University’s constituent colleges-Maharani’s and Maharaja‘s-have announced the final cut-off lists for the popular courses on Saturday. The Maharani’s College released the cut-off for two sections of B.Com under the self-finance course (SFS) which touched an all-time high of 92%.
The B Com list for remaining three sections will be announced on Monday. “The cut-off for the rest of the sections is likely to be below 87%,” said Vidya Jain, principal of Maharani’s College. The final cut-off for newly added sections, BSC and BA, will be announced on Monday.
Almost 95% of the college seats have been already filled and the classes have also begun. Under the SFS courses, students have to bear the complete expenses. The college will soon declare the cut-off lists for its newly created SFS sections including three B.Com courses and one each for B.Sc and BA.
The situation in the Maharaja’s College was similar. Here the final cut-off dropped between 0.2% and 1%. The cut-off in B.Sc-Bio closed at 71.02% and in B.Sc-Maths closed at 81.8%. “Our college has filled 100% seats after the third list was announced,” said DC Jain, principal of Maharaja’s College, adding that admission season-2013 was over now.
Meanwhile, Rajasthan University has restricted the entry of boys in Maharani’s College till further order. The move came after principal Vidya Jain’s complaint on how boys enter the college and create ruckus leading to law and order problem.
