Nearly 7,95,000 students will appear in senior secondary and vishihstaupadhyay exams of the Rajasthan Secondary Education Board set to begin from Thursday. The board has completed preparations to maintain transparency and smooth conduct of the exams amid deployment of heavy security in some sensitive examination centers across the state.
Board chairman P S Verma said the class XII exams will over on April 1 and will help the students in preparing for various entrance examinations. The class X examinations will start from March 14.
As part of its preparations, the board has constituted “flying squads” on the tehsil level for the first time and Jodhpur, Barmer, Sawai Madhopur, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Dausa and Karoli are identified as sensitive districts and the board has decided to conduct videography of every minute of the examinations from opening of the question paper to collecting of the answer sheets.
The board has instructed to close down hostels situated near examination centers and restrict any coaching classes nearby. No mobile phones and internet usage will be allowed in the examination centres at the time of exam.
A total of 43 centres are added for the first time taking the number of Jaipur district to 585. There is no sensitive centre identified in Jaipur district where 1,14,482 students are appearing in class XII exams and 1,46,842 will appear in class X exams.
The board has already sent examination material to all centers and question papers are kept in nearby police stations. It has also instructed the examination centers to be vigilant over mass copying.
Every district has flying squads to inspect the centre at the time of examination and the board has also constituted a special flying squad comprising board members for the first time to check various centres in the state.
