In this LS Elections 32 districts and about 1,625 polling stations will be there which will be monitered via webcasting by the state election department. Joint Chief Election Officer (IT), Pramod Agrawal, said webcasting was conducted at 1300 polling stations during Assembly elections last year and had delivered good results.
The webcasting, arranged for bringing transparency, can be viewed by the public as the link will be available on Rajasthan Election Commission’s website, additional chief election officer Rekha Gupta said.Except for Karauli, she said 1,625 sensitive polling stations set up in all other districts will be covered through webcasting during polling in the state on April 17 and 24.
Gupta today discussed election preparedness with district election officers through video conferencing and informed them that the webcasting will now be in public domain so that people can also watch the activities.
