The Rajasthan government today said 1107 posts of pharmacists in the state will be filled up soon.

An interim priority list has been released, a CMO release said, adding, the Medical and Health Department would release the final list of 1,107 pharmacists after September 28. Counselling for these posts of selected candidates took place from March 3 to 13. Out of the 1209 posts of pharmacists, 1,107 candidates have been selected based on merit and reservation.

However, remaining 102 posts have been kept in backlog in view of other caste quota like ST, ST (TSP), SC(TSP) and Sahariya, the release said.

The state government has so far given jobs to 53,000 persons since BJP came to power in 2013. Meanwhile, former Chief Minister and Congress leader Ashok Gehlot alleged that the BJP government had promised to create 15 lakh jobs to youth but so far had come up with no specific plan to provide jobs to unemployed youths.

In a statement here, Gehlot said unemployed youths are running from pillar to post in search of jobs, which he said was “most unfortunate”.

“Instead of creating new jobs, the BJP government has finished or ended jobs of 25 Vidhyarthi Mitras and 4,000 computer teachers.

Dependents of Kedarnath calamity victims were also abruptly asked to not report to work.

“Qualified teachers having BED or MED degrees were waiting for new competitive exam, and would be over age if the exam is not held soon,” he said while alleging that a number of job-oriented schemes of his tenure were stopped.
