A S Kiran Kumar, chairman, Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has shared the benefits of Satellite Instructional Television Experiments (SITE) programme during a public lecture on “India in Space” at JL Lakshmipat University Jaipur on Saturday. “Country has never looked back since the launch o f INSAT-2. Our space program is running smoothly,” he said.
He also shared about launching of G-SAT6 due in the current year and its likely benefits. Talking about the initiatives of ISRO in Agriculture Remote Sensing Programmes for Rajasthan, he said, “State has benefited hugely from the programme which has helped in productivity.”
He discussed various application areas in which Indian space scientists have been working and has made remarkable contributions. He concluded his session with the scope of developments and direction of required efforts in the field of space mission.
