Ahead of Rajasthan Resurgent Partnership Summit slated later this month, Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Tuesday launched scores of colourful auto-rickshaws displaying state's rich art and culture.
Raje also took a ride in one such colourful auto from her residence here, an official said.
About 100 autos have been painted colourfully to display the state’s culture. These autos will promote folk art, he said.
These autos would move around the venue of the investment meet to give travellers a feel of change, the official said.
They would be available to visitors at Sanganer airport, Hawa Mahal, Amber Fort, Jal Mahal, and Albert Hall during the Resurgent Summit on November 19 and 20, he said.
Auto-rickshaw driver Mahmood Qureshi was in for a pleasant surprise when Chief Minister sat in his vehicle and asked for a ride to SMS Convention Centre in Rambagh circle.
In a similar way, most of the hoardings, signages, unipoles, shelters at bus stops and at important junctions have been inscribed with ‘Living arts of Rajasthan’ to showcase tribal and folk arts, he added.
