After the Chintan Shivir of congress party, VIPs will keep visiting the Pink City in February as well. The department of administrative reforms and public grievances will organise its 16th national conference on e-governance in Jaipur on February 11-12 at Birla Auditorium.

Sources said that department’s Union minister for state V Narayanswamy and senior bureaucrats across the country will attend the meet. Prime minister Manmohan Singh could be the chief guest of the conference.

To make the event successful, the state government has already started making arrangements for the VIPs. The department of information and technology has invited bids from event management companies for making ‘stay arrangements’ for the VIPs.

The VIPs would be put up at five star hotels. Chief minister Ashok Gehlot may also attend the function. The objective of the conference is to promote meaningful interaction between policy makers, practitioners, industry leaders and academicians to deliberate, discuss and recommend an actionable strategy for good governance.
