Inaugurating the India headquarters of National United States India Chamber of Commerce (NUICC) here today, Rajasthan Governor Margaret Alva called upon industrialists to play an active role in the state’s growth and development.
“Rajasthan has become an ideal destination for investment because of its dynamic industrial policy and the single window system has attracted good investment,” Alva said.
The governor said that Japanese investors have opted for Rajasthan because of the basic infrastructure facilities that have been made available to them.
“Post-independence the discovery of oil and gas and the greening of the desert through the Indira Gandhi canal and now with the development in solar and wind power the growth have accelerated,” she added.
Headquartered in the US, NUICC promotes bilateral Indo-US trade. It also engages public and private sectors of the respective countries to accelerate trade and investment.
