New Park to be Built in Jaipur

Jaipur Development Authority will soon be making another big park for the Jaipur City , with this the city will be having to big parks another one is Central park. This new park will be named as “Silvan Park” on around 43 hectares along the Agra road.

For the project, the JDA has approved Rs 4.70 crore during the project works committee (PWC) meeting on Monday.”A forest land has been identified near Kanota and JDA will be develop it as a park. The park will be theme based and it would have a bougainvillea plant nursery,” Akshay Singh, conservator of forest, JDA, said.

To prevent area from encroachment by Metro tracks, the JDA will develop a green belt. An official said the JDA has already started planting creepers on the dividers of roads and Rs 2.23 crore was sanctioned for the purpose. Moreover, R 11.50 crore has been sanctioned to plant trees on medians and maintain the green area.

Around 10 varieties of plants, including allamanda cathartica, bougainvillea and others will be planted on the railings installed recently by JDA from Ajmeri Gate to Sitapura. After every 400 metre, the variety of plant will change. “We have already started plantations in front of SMS hospital. In the first phase, around 3,000 trees brought from Kolkata will be planted. Each creeper costs Rs 25,” another official said.
