In the name of recruitment in armed forces, a lot of fake recruitment gangs and touts are operating across the state. One such case has come to light, where in an aspiring candidate from Nagaur (Rajasthan) Ram Singh Charan who was placed on wait list for recruitment in Indian Air Force, was contacted by one Divvyajyoti Deka of Guwahati Assam posing as a senior officer from Air Force Headquarters in New Delhi.

The tout asked Ram Singh to deposit Rs. 40,000 after which he would issue his call letter under a special drive. Singh promptly reported the matter to Wing Commander Anant Gaur, the Commanding Officer of No 5 Airmen Selection Centre based in Jodhpur.

Thereafter, an operation was launched in co-ordination with various other intelligence agencies of IAF and the police department in Jorhat (Assam) which finally ended up in apprehension of Deka, as he was caught red handed taking money.

Singh was felicitated in Jodhpur by Wing Commander Anant Gaur who appreciated his sincerity and sense of awareness and presented him a certificate of appreciation specially issued by the Central Airmen Selection Board HQ New Delhi in recognition of a job well done and being a good citizen.
