Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi acclaimed that now a BJP wave is in the country. While addressing an election rally in Ajmer district on Thursday Modi said, “Wherever he goes, whether it’s Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, everywhere we can see the BJP wave.”
Urging the people to bring back his party to power, Modi told the gathering: “If you want to improve your life and want children to lead better lives then vote for the BJP.”
Launching a scathing attack on the Congress, the BJP’s PM candidate said that if the ruling party had followed development agenda for 60 years ten things would have been different today.
Accusing the Congress of playing divisive politics, the BJP leader said that grand old party is scared of the country getting united as it would lead to its defeat.
Attacking the Ashok Gehlot-led government in Rajasthan, Modi accused the state government of not fulfilling its promises.
“Where was the Rajasthan government hiding? Why does it come out only during elections?” Modi asked the gathering.
Trying to mock Congress president Sonia Gandhi for being silent on rising prices, the Gujarat Chief Minister said, “You are a mother, Sonia ji, please say something on inflation.”
He also said that Congress mocks the poor.
Taking on Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, Modi said, “Rahul Gandhi says India is a beehive, but for us India is our Mother.”
Further hitting out at the Gandhi scion, Modi exhorted, “You say poverty is a state of mind. We say poor are ‘Daridra Narayan’.”
Modi concluded his speech by urging the people to support Vasundhara Raje and vote for the BJP.
