One of major project proposal in Rajasthan, Khushkheda-Bhiwadi-Neemrana Investment Region (KBNIR) is estimate to have investments worth Rs 27,371 cr and create 5 lakh jobs. Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje termed the project KBNIR under Delhi-Mumbai industrial corridor (DMIC) as of great importance to the state.
Presenting the progress report on the first node of KBNIR, officials apprised CM on knowledge city and integrated water management system to be developed in KBNIR. Officials asserted that the proposed project would attract investment of Rs 27,371 cr.
After completion, the investment region would provide direct employment to nearly 5 lakh people while 15 lakh people would get indirect employment.
“For the knowledge city and water management system we have hired prominent consultants who will be advising on developing necessary infrastructure. Over all the blue print of the project is ready and we are making good progress on it,” said an official of bureau of investment promotion (BIP).
Campaign for promoting tourism
In another review of the tourism department, it was decided to promote Rajasthan as a hub of tourism and would be branded nationally and internationally. Efforts will be made for connecting the tourist cities of the state with domestic and international flights.
During the interaction with the officials, Raje stressed on using social media and websites for attracting tourists. A campaign on the lines of Madhya Pradesh and Kerala will also be developed showcasing the strengths of the Rajasthan.
Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation has also been asked to ensure that the heritage sites, temples and forts in the state are properly preserved and managed. For the Walled City in Jaipur, a map will be developed indicating all the important places in the area for tourists.
Apart from it Rajasthan government will also take initiatives to organize Rajasthan festivals in foreign countries, improve facilities in royal trains, joining heritage villages and towns with roads and launch a helpline for the tourists.
Demands from Hadauti region
A delegation of MLAs from Kota came to state capital for discussing a series of issues in Hadauti region. A high level meeting took place at secretariat chaired by Sanwar Lal Jat, water resources minister. “We had broad discussion with the minister over purification of Chambal area and irrigate area. There is a project worth Rs 1,290 cr and minister has asked officials to complete it soon. Once it gets completed, the seepage will reduce by 20-30%,” said Om Birla, MLA from Kota South.
Kota (South), Prahlad Gunjal apprised the state government on lack of drainage system and need for sewerage treatment plant.
