Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) decides to provide complete pavement for pedestrians and remove all encroachments. JDA officials conducted a review meeting on the ongoing drive on enforcing road safety measures in the city.
During the meeting, officials also reviewd the progress of the ongoing work. The authority officials claims that 50 major accident-prone areas in the city have been identified and all efforts being made to make it safer.
In the meeting, an official told that the height of the dividers has also been raised at Bhagwandas road, Janpath and Khatipura. JDA has also installed the hazard markers, cat eye and bollard on the roads to facilitate the commuters. The meeting was convened after principal secretary (UDH) G S Sandhu asked JMC and JDA officials to start working on the safety plans.
