Jaipur boy and Common Admission Test (CAT) aspirant Aditya Singhal’s joys become double on Makar Sankranti after scoring 99.97 percentile in CAT. A engineering graduate from Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), Aditya Singhal has scored 99.97 percentile in Common Admission Test (CAT) as the CAT result was announced on Tuesday.
“It was expected. I was sure of scoring 99 percentile after I appeared in the exam. I am on cloud nine and at the same time I am feeling sad for not being able to create history by 0.3 percentile. I wish I could have scored 100 percentile, the magic figure which was scored by only eight students out of around 2 lakh students that appeared in this exam,” said Singhal, who is a resident of Hawa Mahal area. Singhal has scored maximum in the state.
Living in a joint family in the Walled City area, the festival of kite flying has become the most memorable for the family. “It was great to see that my entire family celebrated my success. Delicacies were served to me and I was frequently given chances to fly kites till the evening,” said Singhal, who is eyeing IIM-A.
He owes his success to teaching students who are preparing for IITs in a coaching major here. “Soon after my engineering, I joined a coaching institute and was teaching maths to students. My decision of joining a coaching institute while leaving other job opportunities turned out to be a game changer. Here as a teacher I innovated new methods while teaching difficult chapters,” said Singhal.
“I will only attempt for IIM-A. And, if I don’t succeed in the group discussion and personal interview, then I will quit the idea of pursuing MBA from any other MBA college,” he added. Singhal plans to pursue his entrepreneurship plans if he does not succeed in getting an admission in IIM-A.
He shared his success mantra and said other than knowledge on the key subjects, maintaining temperament is very important. “Students should attempt mock online test papers very seriously. It helps you in time management,” said Singhal.
