Indian Army adventure trip to interact with war widows along Luni river

A 12-day long adventure initiative by Indian Army under which a group of the armymen will travel along the course of Luni river in Rajasthan on foot and cycles was flagged off in Ajmer today.

The expedition, aimed at revisiting traditional route in Rajasthan along the Luni river bed, was flagged off at Nasirabad Cantt in Ajmer.

One officer, one junior commissioned officer and 20 other ranks will interact with Veer Naris (war widows) and ex-Servicemen en-route and carry out hydro-graphical study of the river.

They will cover over 530-km along the course of Luni on foot and cycles, according to defence spokesperson Col S D Goswami.
