After days of dry spell, the city received showers, which made the weather pleasant late on Tuesday evening.
Though the day was sunny, towards the night it started raining heavily coupled with heavy winds. It rained for over an hour in most parts and people came out to enjoy unexpected showers.
On Tuesday, the city recorded a maximum temperature of 40°C and the day remained sunny throughout. There were no clouds and people were waiting for a relief from heat.
However, the nights are still a bit cooler and the minimum temperature was recorded at 29.3°C as there were some rains in the city early in the morning.
The Met office said till 8.30 am, the city recorded 0.2 mm rainfall making the mornings pleasant. Total 63.2 mm rain was received on Tuesday.
Weatherman forecasts a partly cloudy sky and thundery development during the evening. But there won’t be much change in temperature on Wednesday.
Elsewhere in the state, only Chittorgarh recorded 13 mm rainfall. Kota division also saw light rains while there were no traces of rainfall elsewhere and weather remained dry.
The Met office predicts rain or thundershowers at isolated places of state in next 24 hours.
