The Rajasthan government has banned the admission process at Haridev Joshi University of Journalism and Mass Communication here for academic year 2015-16 with immediate effect, pending a Cabinet sub-committee review.
“As the university is under review of the Cabinet subcommittee, the fresh admission process for various courses for the academic session 2015-16 is banned until the next orders,” a letter dated July 3 addressed to the University’s V-C by the Joint Secretary of Higher Education said.
When contacted the Vice- Chancellor Sunny Sebastian on Thursday said the admission process for the new academic year had begun over 36 days ago and an unexpected order to stop admission process was very unfortunate.-PTI
