First unit of Kali Sindh Thermal Power Station (KSTPS) Jhalawar plant synchronised

The first unit of Kali Sindh Thermal Power Station (KSTPS) of Jhalawar has been synchronised. The unit has a capacity of 600 megawatt (MW).

Two power generation units of the KSTPS are under construction of which the first unit was synchronised on oil on Thursday afternoon and later was linked to the state grid, said energy minister Jitendra Singh.

“The first unit would start power generation on coal from July this year,” he said. Rajasthan would get around 144 lakh units of power from the first unit of the KSTPS when run on full capacity.
