JAISALMER: A team from centre for disease control from (NCDC) New Delhi checked Sample of Ratan Ki Bassi villagers in Rajasthan. Two male nurses who died of Congo fever at Goyal hospital in Jodhpur were affected with this disease from resident of Ratan Ki Bassi named Jhabar Singh, in Lathi area of Jaisalmer.
The NCDC team spent entire day at and checked people. They appealed people for regular cleanliness and timely spraying of medicine on cattle to remove ticks.
The team took 36 blood samples from Ratan Ki Bassi village including 22 males, 8 females and 6 children. The “Rajasthan is the second state in the country where Congo fever was reported” NCDC medical officer Dr UVS Rana said.
