Jaipur Development Authority has said that they will be checking the commercial building that were built in past 13 years. The checking routine will be started soon.The authority has prepared a list of around 400 such commercial units that were approved by BPC since 2001.
Official sources said during the period, 106 commercial buildings are constructed in zone 2 which is the maximum. In zone 8, the JDA has only given permission to one commercial building. In two zones – 1 and 7 – maps of around 60 commercial buildings have been approved.
The JDA is already late in starting the drive. Soonafter the Jaipur Development Commissioner (JDC), Shikhar Agarwal, joined office in February, zone commissioners and the town planning department were directed to handover a list of maps approved to the enforcement cell by February 25.
Sources claimed that the JDA will issue notices to the defaulters and provide time to rectify the constructions as per approved plan. It may also imposed heavy penalty on those where there is no scope of alternation in the constructions.
