Not in a position to speak much, Vijay said, “His condition kept deteriorating after he had complained of stomach ache. He had come to visit us and to attend a marriage ceremony on December 10.”

Talking about his friendship with Sandeep, Hasan said, “I met him during 2001 when I used to sing in a local orchestra. When I heard him singing in a village, I was stunned to see his talent. There was a time when we use to get Rs 300-450 per show.”
“He had purchased a new car some months ago. That’s when he invited me to drive. He was a very down to earth and deep rooted person. I am yet to believe that he has died of jaundice,” Hasan added.
