Malkhan Singh Bishnoi, an accused in the sensational BhanwariDevi murder case, who was ordered to be shifted from Jodhpur jail, looked uneasy upon reaching the Ajmer central jail on Monday afternoon. It was reported that the prisoners also showed their protest at his arrival.

On the orders of Jodhpur court, Malkhan was shifted to Ajmer jail on Monday. He was brought from Jodhpur amid heavy security and handed over to the jail administration.

Sources said that local prisoners showed their protest and shouted slogans against Malkhan Singh Bishnoi and Mahipal Maderna. “Most of the prisoners belong to Kishangargh, Roopangargh and surrounding areas and since Bhanwari Devi was also from Kishangarh, the prisoners were aware of the murder case,” said a source.

The jail administration controlled the situation well in time, “Things are normal and Malkhan is in the prison here,” said an official. They said that it was normal for the old prisoners to make noises when a new inmate comes to the jail.

Sources added that the central jail at present houses terrorists of the serial blasts, gangs such as Balwa and other dacoits. Malkhan had challenged the orders of the Jodhpur court for shifting him to Ajmer jail at the high court in Rajasthan. The shifting was ordered on the plea of CBI.
