Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has started probing the staff of district and session court that was deputed in clerk recruitment process and were taking brief of the process they had adopted in the written test. The team is also busy digging the source of the first list that was prepared before the written exam in the recruitment.
Sources said the ACB had quizzed some clerks to get a clue on who all were involved in conducting the exam in the district. “They asked us which judge and officials were in charge of the written exam and also to whom copies were sent for evaluation,” said a clerk.
ACB officials got the tip that one of the lists of candidates was circulated before the written exam and therefore there are chances that the muck had started much before. “Lists recovered from Hemraj also revealed some names of candidates who failed to clear the written test and attempts were being made to make them ‘eligible’ for final list” said an officer.
The officials are looking for the source of the first list that reached before the written exams. “We have the list of Bhagwan Singh Kanawat and also a list of Rajesh Sharma which was recovered from his house but cannot confirm the source from where these lists were sent,” added officials.
The ACB has so far recovered about Rs 16 lakh in this case and believe that more money must be involved. “Our top priority is to find out the source from where the first list was circulated,” the official reiterated.
