Jodhpur is the only city in the state, which has taken up the task of cleanliness on its own level by coming up with the concept of Smart Colony-Smart Ward, Social Justice and Welfare minister Arun Chaturvedi said yesterday.
As a chief guest of the function to mark one year of the cleanliness drive by the Jodhpur Municipal Corporation (JMC), he said that government alone could not do anything significant unless there was people's contribution in the initiatives taken by the government.
He called upon people to come forward with a spirit to clean their cities collectively in order to achieve the dream of Swachh Bharat and set an example for others.
On this occasion, Chaturvedi also launched a web-based application called ‘Samadhan’, developed by the JMC with a view to expedite the grievance redressal of the people of the city.
Mayor Ghanshyam Ojha said that the people of the city would be able to register their complaints or woes on this app anytime without having any need to visit the JMC office personally and assured a quick redressal of those registered complaints.
