Jaipur
Aam Aadmi Party a new born part headed by Arvind Kejariwal announced the second list in which there were no names from Rajasthan state. According to sourced central election committee of AAP has turned down seven of the candidates shortlisted by the state election committee.
So far, the year-old party has declared on only three candidates Ashok Jain, state coordinator of AAP from Kota , ex-major Surendra Poonia from Sikar and retired colonel Raz Kadyan from Juhunjhunu . The rest 22 seats are yet to be announced even after 368 candidates from across the state appeared for interviews at state office in Jaipur.
AAP sources said the state unit has found no “able” candidate on all the seven reserved seats, including Ganganagar (SC), Bikaner (SC), Bharatpur (SC), Karauli-Dholpur (SC), Dausa (ST), Udaipur (ST) and Banswara (ST) along with the Ajmer seat. The number of candidates from these reserved seats was very less as compared to other general cities for a reason that it caters to one category of caste and communities which has their due allegiance to existing political parties.
