LS Elections Clashes Rajasthan University to Change Exams Dates

During elections the election commission takes over the colleges and universities premises during polls as to which the state universities have asked EC not to occupy the university complex as it will affect the annual exams.

Rajasthan University (RU) is re-scheduling some examinations clashing with the election dates. The university will decide the new dates in coming days and will post on its website.The election commission acquires Commerce and Rajasthan College. Both the colleges also serve as examination centres for undergraduate programmes. Source said that Election Commission dispatches EVMs and bring back the voting machines after polling would be requiring the campuses for longer period this time.

The elections in the state will be held on April 17 and 24 and counting on May 16. It means that these institutes will be under election duty for over a month. “In this situation, it is likely that it will affect the exams of students which will run till May end,” said a college official.
