The Rajasthan Women (Prevention & Protection from Atrocities) Bill, 2011 is going to be a milestone in cracking a whip against such mischief. Earlier this crime was treated under some bailable sections of IT act by the police, but the bill has suggested this crime to be treated under non-bailable sections.
The Rajasthan Women (Prevention and Protection), Bill has already been passed by the state cabinet and is awaiting President of India’s nod to enable the government in making it an ordinance.
