A team of Indian Institute of Management-Udaipur has been selected among the top five business schools from 80 teams across the globe to compete in the finals of the India-US Business Conference-CK Prahalad Business Case Competition 2013 at the Stephen M Ross School of Business, University of Michigan.
Competing with teams from Harvard, Wharton, Stanford, INSEAD, MIT, NUS and Kellogg among others, IIM-U made it to the top 5. “IIM Udaipur is the only team in India and Asia to feature in the top 5,” said Janat Shah, director, IIM.
The keynote speakers at the event include Mark Fields (COO Ford), Nina Davuluri (Miss America), Prof Tarun Khanna (Harvard Business School), Subbarami Reddy (Member of Parliament).
The team ‘Agents of Change’ includes Arpit Mehra, Biswarup Das, Rahul Dsouza and Rahul Pandey. All of them are part of the post graduate programme for executives – Global Supply Chain Management, offered by IIM-U in collaboration with Purdue University. These students are currently attending the fall semester at Purdue University as part of their course.
The event is considered the biggest forums worldwide where leaders from the field of business, politics, and academics share ideas about the world’s largest democracy and its huge potential. The theme for IBC 2013 is “Dream, Lead, Inspire”.
The competition offers students across the globe an opportunity to compete and showcase their business knowledge and innovation by analyzing a case study in the social impact field.
