Kick-starting BJP’s election campaign in poll-bound Rajasthan, Narendra Modi on Tuesday once again hit out at Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and said that the nation has to get rid of the Congress if corruption is to end.
Addressing a mammoth gathering at Amrud’o ka Baag in the Pink City, Modi said, “Do we know what was raised by PM in G-20 Summit? When he returned what did he say – who he wants to work under.”
“If we want to rid ourselves of a corrupt country, the remedy is getting rid of the Congress. The person who is more corrupt succeeds in Congress,” said the BJP 2014 poll campaign committee chief.
Attacking the Congress, he said that the there is a big difference between the Congress of pre-1947 and post-Independence. After 1947 it is immersed in ‘Bhakti’ of one family.
“BJP is immersed in Bharat Bhakti. It is for the well being of the 125 crore people of India,” he added.
Alleging that the UPA lacks the ability to lead and take decisions, he slammed the Central government as one without a ‘Neta, Naitikta, Niyat, Niti’.
Taking a dig at the Congress over the numerous corruption cases that have hit its government at the Centre and in states, Modi said the Congress has invented a new way to recite alphabets with each letter standing for something different.
“Now students will learn A for Adarsh scam, B for Bofors scam, C for CWG scam, D and Damad Ka Karobar…,” he said.
On the upcoming Assembly Elections in the state, Modi said that winds of change are blowing in Rajasthan as people have realised they made a mistake by bringing in the Congress government five years ago.
“The direction of the wind is clear. On the land of Rajasthan there will be a sea of change,” he said.
Modi also chose to praise Vasundhara Raje. “Vasundhara ji has compassion for the people of Rajasthan. She lives for the people of Rajasthan… she has gone among the people, shared their joys and sorrows.”
