Met Dept predicts more rain at some places in south-east Rajasthan

Heavy rain continued to wreak havoc at several places in the state including Tonk, Chittorgarh, Baran and Dholpur on Friday. The meteorological department has predicted that spell of rain would continue to lash various parts of the state in the next 24 hours.

In Tonk, several houses were inundated and caved in due to incessant rain in the region. Moreover, the Met department has issued warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places in south-east Rajasthan during the next 24 hours.

The Met department predicts that thundershowers would occur at many places in south-east Rajasthan and at isolated places in the rest of the state. In Jaipur, the rain continued to lash the city. With sporadic rainfall in the city, roads have been badly damaged causing problems for the residents. The Met department predicts that on Saturday the sky would remain cloudy and there is a possibility of rain and thundershowers to continue in the city.

On Friday, light to moderate rainfall occurred at a few places in Kota division, at isolated places in Jaipur, Bharatpur, Ajmer, Udaipur and Bikaner division but in Jodhpur division, the weather remained mainly dry.
