Rajasthan government has announced to help a meritorious student from a middle class family, who despite kidney failure, exhibited strong will and secured fifth position in the merit list of Intermediate examination.
Prakhar, 17, son of an LIC agent, who has been on dialysis after his both kidneys failed, secured 96% in science stream after results were declared on Thursday by the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education.
Chief minister Ashok Gehlot has assured the family that his government will provide all possible help to them. “Now transplantation will be done free of cost as the CM consulted with Dr Naresh Trehan, CMD of a hospital in Gurgaon, over telephone,” a government spokesperson said. PTI
