On the occasion of 285th Foundation Day of Pink City Jaipur an event was organised at the ITC Rajputana which was presented by the Prabha Khaitan foundation in association with the Jaipur-based literary consultancy, Siyahi. This event name was Jaipuri Kissey and it organised to explored Jaipur beauty through folk tales, folk traditions and people who represent the city in its true spirit.
Delivering anecdotes: Art historian Dr Chandramani Singh, town planner Gopal Singh Nandiwal, Jugal Kishore Kumrawat, artist Satya Narain Natha, and social anthropologist Vinod Joshi . These speakers took the audience back to the times when Jaipur came into existence. Apart from speakers who used story-telling, Dilip Bhatt also gave a small performance of the age old folk tradition of Tamasha. Sundeep Bhutoria, social activist and culturist told that in the last one decade, Jaipur has been used as a venue for cultural extravaganzas without any participation of the local talent. The idea is to give a platform to the people who are the true soul of the city.
