This year Rajasthan has reported about 25 deaths in the state due to the Swine Flu Disease. Of the total samples taken for tests, 49 patients had been found swine flu positive since January 2014 in the state, a senior official of the Medical and Health Department said quoting a state medical report.
High humidity during rainy season was a major reason for the spread of H1N1 virus, he said.In September, out of the 19 samples taken for test, one patient was found positive, he added.
Talking about the surveillance programme, the official said Integrated Disease Surveillance programme was effectively being extended in the entire state, specially during monsoon season, as a preventive measure to control the spread of vector due to high humidity or water accumulation.
