With the Rail Budget announced by Rail Minister Sadanand Gowda the budget has given only 2 superfast/express, 1 passenger and 1 premium train . While some previous announced trains of 2013-14 rail budget and those announced in the interim budget in February makes total 21 Trains that will be soon running on the tracks.
According to the officials of the North Western Railways, the superfast/express trains including Sikar-Delhi Sarai Rohilla, Jodhpur-Bilaspur, Bikaner-Bilaspur, Jodhpur-Kamakhya announced in the rail budget 2013-14 will run in this financial year. “Apart from these, two passenger trains including Loharu-Sikar and Ratangarh-Sadarshahar would also start after the gauge conversion work is over,” an officer with NWR said on Wednesday.
Moreover, trains announced in the interim budget by Malikarjun Khadke in February 2014 during the UPA’s last rail budget, too, would be operational in this financial year.
“All trains announced in the interim budget and in last year’s budget will be operational soon. We have clarified with the Railway Board as all these trains including those announced in last year’s budget and interim budget will be operational,” said Tarun Jain, chief public relations officer, NWR.
